THE PHOTOGRAPHER
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” – Elliott Erwitt
I started into digital photography back in 2008 when I bought my first dSLR mainly to capture the growing years of my then 2 year-old son – Sean, for without him, I wouldn’t have the inspiration to venture into this dexterity and come this far. It was then that I became more fascinated and developed a passion for capturing images with a lens and realized that I had to push my creativity to the next level. Albeit expensive, photography for me is a therapeutic hobby which has helped me to appreciate the magnificent things around me which often neglect by most of us, and also made me see the world in a different perspective.
Although I’m not a professional photographer by trade, I simply try to incorporate photography into the hobbies that I am enjoying – a passion to capture and celebrate life and landscape in different outlook and be able to look later down the road. It’s been said that to become an expert at something – 10,000 hours of time needs to be invested. That’s a lot of time, over a good number of years and I feel photography is something that is always evolving and there’s always room to learn and improve.
By the way, this personal site is a work in progress and update is done quite frequently so please return from time to time to see what’s new.
